‘Government should reverse tuition increment policy’— NYAN

The National Youth Assembly of Nigeria(NYAN) has called upon the government of nigeria to reverse the policy of school fees increment.

The National Minority Leader, Amb. Ogunshola Micheal said this at the NYAN Lagos Chapter, Convention 2023 held at the International Press Centre in Ogba.

“We have called on the government to consider the youths. Tuition fees hike is a no for NYAN. They should reverse the policy and not turn a blind eye to the plight of the youths”, he said.

National Youth Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN) is an avenue to present the collective views of the youth of Nigeria to the people of Nigeria and the international community, through cultivating interest and activity in the public sector by providing innovative training, leadership opportunities, and an inclusive and efficient means of discussing and debating the issues that affects Nigeria.

The 2023 Lagos Convention brought in, Ambassador Adeola Aderibigbe as the Lagos Speaker; Ambassador Ajiboye Akindayo as the Deputy Speaker; Ambassador Rasheed Wasilat as Clerk; Ambassador Martins Victor as Majority Leader; Ambassador Nwokolo Emmanuel as Minority Leader; Ambassador Adewale Keshinro as Chief Whip.

The Speaker promised to be a representation of Nigerian youths, “Wherever I find myself, I’ll be a representation of all youths in Nigeria and NYAN as a whole”.

The Regional Coordinator of NYAN South West, Ambassador Ogunolu Shamsudeen advised the speaker and new assembly men to, “Stand and speak with one voice”.
