Business Grant: NYCN Isolo Splashes N250k On Five Entrepreneurs


Hails and praises trailed the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Isolo Local Branch for staging the unique and gorgeous Busines Summit, targeted at equipping youths towards financial freedom.

The event was organised on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 at Isolo Community Hall, Isolo, Lagos.

The Business Summit which witnessed a large number of youths across Isolo, Ishagatedo, Ilasamaja, Okota, Ago, Ire-Akari, Ajao-Estate and other axis of the LCDA, served as a trailblazing moment for the youths to actualise their financial dreams through the standardisation of their business as enlightened by the guest speakers of the summit.

Mr. Azeez Adenle, an award-winning Risk Manager took the teeming youths through the process of scribing masterpiece Business Proposal and actualising it. The youths also had the opportunity to get answers to their numerous questions through the panel discussion that had a Human Resource Specialist, Mrs Toluwani Kennedy-Jinadu and the Principal of Sulaimon Shado Schools, Mr. Ismail Shado as panelists.

As a means to financially contribute to the business growth of the youths, business proposal pitching contest was organised with five entrepreneurs with outstanding proposals smiling home with a N50,000 grant each courtesy of the House of Assembly member representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 2 at the state house of assembly.

The presentation is expected to be done in the course of the week.

The father of the Day, Barrister Gani Bello described the Business Summit as one of its kind in the history of the community and he hailed the leadership of the Youth Council led by Comrade Sikiru Ololade Akibu popularly known as Zinko.

The Youth leader, Comrade Sikiru extended his appreciation to the distinguished guests that honoured the event with their presence which includes the Former State Chairman, NYCN Lagos Chapter, Ambassador Oreshile Olayinka, Supervisor for Special Duties of Mushin LG – Hon. Talabi Hafizu Bolaji, the Coordinator of NYCN Amuwo Odofin Local Branch – Comrade Osho Olayinka and the Pioneer Coordinator of NYCN Isolo Local Branch – Alhaji Rasaq Akinbola, among others.

Others include APC Woman Leader of Okota Ward – Mrs Kemi Taiwo, Head of Babies Wears Association and APC Woman Leader, Ishaga/Ire-Akari Ward F4 – Mrs Akibu Iyabo, Director for Community Development, Isolo LCDA – Mr. Raji, Laja Olusegun, APC Organising Secretary – Mr. Sunday Adeyemo.

He also extended his appreciation to each Iya Oloja of the markets in the LCDA, the Member Lagos State House of Assembly – Hon. Ladi Ajomale, the Olori of Isolo Kingdom, the SLG of Isolo LCDA, Chief Monday Akuna, C.D.A chairman, Greenfield Estate and every other distinguished personalities that sponsored the event.

Sikiru dedicated the success of the event to the hardworking and resilient committee led by Comrade Monsur Aregbe for making history with the success of the event.
