Professor Ayobami Salami, the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), had initiated a collaborative dialogue with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Lagos at the inaugural Quarterly Consultative Meeting.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of CSOs in galvanizing grassroots support and fostering electoral awareness, Professor Salami emphasized the need for collaboration to enhance the integrity of future elections. He underscored the significance of public trust in sustaining democracy and pledged to foster a culture of transparency and engagement.

Despite the brevity of the gathering, Professor Salami expressed gratitude for the attendees’ presence, mindful of the approaching Ramadan. With warm wishes for Ramadan Kareem and an early Easter, he concluded, leaving the audience with a sense of optimism for the collaborative journey ahead.
