Oshodi-Isolo LG chair, Oloyede Gifts JETS National Competition Second Place Winners Laptops

The executive chairman of the Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has received pupils of Monsuru Agoro Primary School Oshodi who won second place position in the national Junior Engineering Technician Scientists (JETS) competition.

The pupils won second position after winning first position in Lagos to represent the state at the national level of the competition in Abuja.

Receiving the pupils, their teachers and parents led by the Oshodi-Isolo local government Education Authority, Education Secretary, Hon Mayowa Alakija, the executive chairman appreciated the pupils for making the council proud.

Oloyede seized the occasion to restate his commitment to education development of the local government.

In appreciating the pupils, the council chairman presented them with laptops each while their teachers and parents were given cash gifts for supporting and allowing the pupils to excel in their education.

He said; “Thank you for making us proud in Oshodi, we will continue to do our best in pushing education to greater height in Oshodi. I believe that we should reward the teachers here and not in heaven, going forward, you will get more support from us.

We shall be supporting the research team with monthly stipend to make easy their works. Our resolve for education development in Oshodi remains undaunting and we shall never relent on our oars until Oshodi education sector is improved upon.”

Thanking the council chairman, Alakija said he will work hand in hand with him to better the lot of the council’s education sector.

The pupils; Emmanuel Unique and Adeyemi Sarah both in primary six thanked the chairman for the warmth receipt and the presentation of the laptops promising that they will not let the chairman down in their education pursuit.
