The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its eight-month-old strike.
The union announced at the end of its all-night meeting on Friday.
In a tweet at the official Twitter handle of the Varsities lecturers, the union congratulated Nigerian students for the call off of the strike asking them to resume on Monday.
The tweet read; “Congratulations Nigerian Students. The 8-Months Strike has been suspended conditionally, Universities to reopen on Monday, the 17th October, 2022.”
