DPSA GRADUATES NINE PUBLIC SPEAKERS IN AGEGE

The Department of Dawah Public Speaking Academy (ADPS) , has graduated nine fresh public speakers from the institute.

The DPSA graduation ceremony which took place on Saturday, October 7, 2023 inside the Hall of Orile Agege Local Council Development was third successive edition from the institute since its inception in 2022.

The graduands were ; Oladoja Rasheed, Sulaiman AbdGaniy, Qasim Hudhayfah, Alao Mubaraq, Alabi Saheed, Keshinro Muhammad, Soliu Sulaimon, Adelu Muhammad and Mustapha-Fahm Basirat.

In his address, veteran public speaking coach, Ustadh Abdhakeem Opadijo charged the gruduands on upholding the ethics of public speaking.

He emphasized the importance of being closed to the audience , care about their faith as well as paying attention to their character while avoiding condemnation as key to a speakers’ audience heart.

” As a public speaker, one should be careful in meddling in the affairs on the one being called as approach matters in the way of calling to the path of Allah ” he said

Coach Opadejo who spoke on the topic: “The role of Islamic speakers in Today’s world” pointed that Islamic speakers must be selective and conscious of what they consume as it affects their mode of delivery and eloquence.

While recommending warm over cold water for public speakers’ consumption, Mallam Opadejo admonished the gruduands on being Allah’s vicegerent , witnesses to mankind and channelling their call to Allah’s path and not to personality.

The leadership of Agege District led by Ustadh Abdrahman Animashaun charged the fresh DPSA graduates to see themselves as role models who should be imparting in the society.

He said that ” never look down upon yourself , be smart and neat as you embark on the cause of Dawah to Allah through your public speaking training ”

Presentation of Certificates ceremony was anchored by guests including Engr. Abdhameed Akintayo, Alhaji Mutiu Adelu, Imam AbdJaleel Abd Rafii, Hajjia Zubaydha Adeleke-Davies amongst others after the trainees had successfully defended their various individual project on the course.
