… Council chair promises more dividends of democracy to residents
Oshodi-Isolo local government has commenced the 2023 budget retreat to plan for the 2023 fiscal year
The budget retreat which is holding at the Eastgate Hotels, Lekki Lagos is christened ‘Budget of Hope Redemption.’
While kick starting the retreat, the council chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede said the budget will further help to provide more dividends of democracy to the people of the council area
He reeled out his administration’s achievement in the over one year of assumption of office, promising more dividends of democracy for the residents.
In his speech; “this retreat is an avenue to discuss the budget contents, its key priorities and expected deliverables for year 2023. However it is important to say that in the last one year of my administration we have delivered the dividends of democracy to the door step of my people by constructing good roads, we have sunk boreholes to provide clean water. We have also prioritized welfarism in so much that, we provide different packages for the less privileged, widows and indigent students.”
He continued; “I assure you that mechanism has been put in place to round up all projects within the set time and I will continue to count on your support. Given that this retreat is meant to prepare a workable year 2023 budget, it is my expectation that we will come out with common position on how to transform our local government and strategies for optimal performance as the theme of the budget indicates.”
In attendance at the retreat are the Vice Chairman of the local government, Mrs Modupe Badmus Aregbe, Executive members of the local government, management staff among others.
