The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Lagos State Chapter, under the leadership of Engr. Adigun Ibrahim, has taken a significant step towards empowering Lagos youth by inaugurating Comr. Ademosu Jamiu as the inaugural Director General of the Lagos Youth Development Institute (LYDI).
This appointment aligns with the NYCN constitution’s 2018 amendment (Section 16.4, Article III), which mandates the establishment of such an institute. LYDI aims to bridge critical gaps in youth development, fostering socio-economic growth and promoting active citizenship.
As the pioneer DG, Comr. Ademosu will oversee the implementation of innovative learning modules, research initiatives, and strategic partnerships. The institute will empower Lagos youth and comrades alike, providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.
Engr. Adigun’s administration has demonstrated a strong commitment to youth development, and this appointment underscores their dedication to fulfilling the NYCN’s mandate.
