Apapa LG Chair, Senbanjo Says Governance is Responsibility of all Citizens

The Exective Chairman of Apapa Local Government Hon. Senbanjo Adejumoke has has good governance is the responsibility of citizens in the country.

Senbajo stated this at a one day training programme organised for political office holders in the council where she posited that the running of government affairs is the responsiblity of every citizen, asserting that the best of ideas could come from the least expected fellow in the society as no one is an island of knowledge.

The Council boss who was represented by the Vice Chairman of the LG, Hon. Ganiu Ismail at the training which was tagged ‘Local Government administration, governance and leadership’ called for the involvement of every citizen and residence in the Local government.
She stressed that her administration runs an open door policy and is ready to listen to noble ideas that will lift the Port City council to greater heights.

The Keynote speaker Mr. Ashimi Jamiu Adewale, a retired Permanent Secretary at Lagos State Health Service Commission walked the participants of the training through the local government administrative processes and rudiments for effective service delivery.

The event which was organised for political office holders of the council was also extended to management staff of the LG.

The Council Manager, Mrs.Mosunmola Otaiku Okoka expressed her delight for the training approved by the chairman which has enriched all participants and will further enrich the working relationship between the political office holders and the career staff while noting that the Chairman is pious to the development of her staff as evident in the just concluded four days training programme organized for Clerical Officers, Drivers, Security Guards and Office Attendants with certificate of participation issued and training allowance.
